In the midst of the pandemic, when restrictions forced us to rethink our operations, we saw an opportunity to innovate and expand our offerings. The challenges we faced turned into a catalyst for creating something extraordinary for our patrons and the Portage community. When the building next to us became available, we seized the moment to not only continue our beloved live music tradition but to diversify our entertainment options in a way that had never been done before in our area.

Introducing Decibels at On the Roxx – a dedicated event space designed to bring a vibrant mix of live music, comedy, and other captivating performances to Portage. This new venue offers a smoke-free environment, providing a refreshing alternative for those who prefer a clean-air experience while enjoying top-notch entertainment. Our vision was to craft a space that harmonizes with our existing bar, ensuring that both spaces cater to a variety of preferences without compromising on the quality of experience.

Despite the hurdles and delays – with our grand opening being postponed four times – our determination never wavered. In February 2021, we proudly opened the doors to Decibels, and it has been a resounding success ever since. We have created a thriving hub for culture and entertainment that brings people together and supports local talent.
